This creates a beautiful structure in the blade, without using acid or making the steel weaker. The nickel also makes the bowie more corrorion resistant and helps to give a better tempering.

The Damascus bowie has a full tang construction for optimal strength. It also has a good hand guard that was also forged in damascus steel. The handle is made in micarta and is very ergonomic to give a good and safe grip.
